What we believe
What we believe
About the Scriptures
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.
About God
We teach that there is one God eternally existing in three persons (the Trinity): the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They each have the same nature and attributes yet are distinct from one another and are worthy of the same worship and obedience. God the Father is sovereign in creation and redemption.God the Son, Jesus Christ, is fully God and fully man. He always has and always will coexist with the Father.God the Holy Spirit indwells and seals every believer at the moment of salvation.
About Mankind
We believe that mankind (male and female) was created in the image of God for the glory of God and for fellowship with Him. However, man became separated from that relationship through sin. As a result, man cannot regain a right relationship with God through his own effort alone.
About Salvation
We believe that salvation is a work of God accomplished by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It cannot be earned or maintained by human effort. When a person realizes they are a sinner (doing anything wrong in God’s eyes) they must turn from their sin and put their faith in the Savior Jesus Christ. Those entering into this relationship with Jesus Christ by faith are eternally born-again and have become children of God.
About the Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The purpose of the Church is to make disciples, who will bring glory to God. We believe every Christian is called to be vitally connected and committed to the local church.
About the Future
We believe that Jesus will literally come back, before the tribulation, to take up His church with Him to heaven. After the tribulation, Jesus will return to the earth with His believers to establish His 1000 year reign on earth. We believe that all men, the saved and unsaved, will be brought back to life with new bodies and experience either eternal life with the Lord or eternal death in Hell.
